Family

Here's a page that touches on only some of people who mean the most in my life. I love each of them dearly.

Rebecca has been my best friend since December 10, 1987. Since then she has done nothing but encourage me and push me to be a better sister, woman, and most importantly servant of the Lord. I think that all started when I used to sing to her "When I am afraid, I will trust in you, I will trust in you, I will trust in you. When I am afraid I will trust in you, in God whose word I praise." She didn't know it, but that not only helped her be less afraid of the dark but it helped strengthen my relationship with the Lord too! Since then she has grown into a wonderful person who I am constantly looking to for advice. She found a guy who is lucky enough to call her wife in January 2012, whose name is Jason. Thus, we have appropriately titled all pictures with the four of us a "Vrla (sister) sandwich on Jason bread." On February 19, 2013 Becca and Jason gave us our first nephew! That little boy is so loved, he doesn't know what he's gotten himself into. She is running an amazing race, you should check it out!

I have been Bryan's favorite oldest sister since I was born. Since then he has been the best big brother anyone could ask for! He picked on me, got me in trouble, ignored me...but then he grew out of that. He then gave me sound advice, encouraged me, protected me, and listened to me. I am very lucky to be so close to him now. Him and his wonderful wife gave me my first niece on July 7, 2011! I know the both of them are going to be wonderful parents and I can't wait to see how their faith grows as they raise Brooklyn.

My mom is one of the strongest women I know. She has done nothing but constantly sacrifice her time and wants for me and my brother and sister. In fact, she graciously gave up lots and lots of space in her house so Jason and I could have a place to stay while he finished up school. Her faith these past couple of years has grown leaps and bounds and I have witnessed the Lord's grace. I am very blessed to have such a loving and self-giving mom. I hope one day I am able to mother (and cook) as well as she does. She has always been there for me and encourages me to be a better person.
