A Year in Photos: Week 16

Day 109

Husbandy was giving the little one a bath one night and I heard lots of laughter. Naturally I got my phone to get a video! It turns out Husbandy was trying to get a bug and Reese thought all the swatting was hilarious. I'm going to have to look for another video that we have the first time this happened. Husbandy was getting a bug on our door and Reese cracked up. I mean the biggest belly laugh, she would have fell over if she was standing, so I of course made Husbandy do it again and again. I think it's on his phone, so I'll have to go digging for it.

Day 110

Husbandy didn't have the best Monday, so after dinner we treated ourselves to yogurt.

We also found out that Monster Yogurt has a play area for kids! Reese was just big enough to make it up a few platforms.

Day 111

Tuesday night we attended Muster with family. I tried to lighten this photo as much as I could, but Aunt Kelly finally got Reese to sit on her lap while she read Minnie to her. Reese has been very attached to Mommy and Daddy lately, so this was quite an a accomplishment.

Day 112

Wednesday evening friends brought over their bunny for us to watch while they went to FL. I would be lying if I said I haven't used Dooney as a distraction technique a few times.

Day 113

Reese is learning the ABCs! Right before this was taken, I sang the ABCs and pointed to each letter in the book as I said it. I love love love watching this girly learn!

Also, happy one year birthday to my second nephew!

Day 114

Friday night it POURED (thankfully we had just gotten home from dinner). We were looking at the rain come down and talking about how wet it was outside and Reese asked for a paper towel, walked to the door, and asked to go dry up the mess outside. She wasn't very happy that we told her she couldn't...

Day 115

Saturday afternoon we celebrated this smiley little boys first birthday! We had so much fun celebrating him. I love the top right photo. The kids all got a little crazy and decided to go swimming. The water was freezing (in my opinion), but once one got it, they all had to do it.

After the birthday party, we got to play with Zilla while his parents went to a work party. When it was time to go to bed, Zilla and I walked to his house, but he was sure not to forget his minion (or monster, as he called it). He carried it the entire way home. Can I also just say how fun it was to get to put him to bed? He certainly has a much easier bedtime routine than Reese and he was so so sweet. Gah, I love that little man.

A Year in Photos: Week 15

Day 102

Playing on the turtle with her cousin.

Mini B stole my phone and took this beautiful selfie. :-)

Day 103

It won't be much longer before Reese figures out this is actually a way for daddy to get more ice cream. We'll take the laughs for now! Also, Husbandy has taught Reese a new thing that birds say...it's no longer tweet tweet. It's CAW CAW!

Day 104

Reese put on these clothes all by herself (well, the top layer)! I was impressed she (finally) got both feet in two different holes, her shirt over her head, and one arm in. I'm not sure that it's successfully happened again since this picture.

After a little help, she found mommy's shoes and vacuumed.

Day 105

I love Merit and getting to work with all these ladies! I think we had sunny weather one day last week and it happened to be the day we went to the Rangers game! The Rangers stunk it up, but it still beat working!

Day 106

I've been waiting to get to post this....I'm going to be an Aunt again!! Please keep Baby Panini and my sister in your prayers as they go through the next 27 weeks together. Look at that sweet profile!! I would be lying if I said I didn't cry when I got this text.

Day 107

I wish the lighting was better, but I didn't have time to adjust it. Every time Reese rides the horse she does this.

Day 108

Saturday night Husbandy and I went to Mass and then to a movie with the Fry's! Adrienne came to watch Reese with her two littles and sent me this picture. Adorable!! I'm so thankful for my friends.

A Year in Photos: Week 14

Day 95

Easter morning we got up and Reese opened her first Easter basket. This year's included a Minnie towel, a book on Saints, a Noah's Arc book, and some hair bows. She loved opening it and the hunted some Easter eggs around our house.

Getting to Mass took several different loads of cars. We really wanted to be in the Sanctuary for Mass and not in the overflow. While the overflow isn't bad by any means, we've been there and wanted something different. Husbandy, Mimi, and Aunt B went early to save seats and got several disheartening glares. But, eventually we filled the pews with these four cuties, their parents, and Mimi. It was so wonderful being at Mass with all of them!

After everyone went home and took naps, we went over to Mimi's for Easter dinner and an egg hunt! Zilla did a wonderful job at lining up when we told me to before we released them for the search. Mini B has her own room of harder hidden eggs, while Zilla and Reese duked it out...and well, John mostly watched. When Reese searched for eggs at our house that morning we didn't fill them with anything, so she thought the point was to get as many as you could. Zilla, however, knew there were hidden treasures and wanted to open each of his. This allowed Reese to fill up her basket, but once she opened on egg, the hunt was over.

Day 96

Before leaving for school one morning, I caught Reese singing with her Minnie book. She's actually getting really good at knowing what lyrics go with what song and she knows what button to push if I ask her to sing the Airplane song (as an example). Such a smart little girl!

Day 97

Mommy and daddy didn't feel like cooking, so we decided to use a gift card instead. :-) Yes, this is Reese eating the rest of her chicken after the chocolate cake was all gone. Priorities.

Day 98

Here's another video of Reese talking in her bed before going to sleep. She shows off her "moo cow" in this video.

Day 99

Happy birthday to my mom! I unfortunately didn't get a picture at dinner, but here are the delicious cupcakes we ate!

Day 100

Friday afternoon we went to Chuck E Cheese with the Michaelis'! I was a little disappointed because the website says fun for all ages, but there really wasn't a lot for Reese and Annabelle to do. Thankfully they liked playing basketball and pressing random buttons on games. We did have fun, so really I can't complain!

Day 101

After swim class on Saturday we went to Hudson and Hannah's 1st birthday! We had so much fun playing with them. :-) I looove the difference of the cake eating styles. Hannah was all in, while Hudson was definitely more careful.

Reese played with the bubbles for a good 20 minutes.

Looking too cool on the way home with her butterfly shades! We can't wait to play with Hannah and Hudson again soon!

A Year in Photos: Week 13

Day 88

Hehe, I just thought this sight was funny. Reese found this in my old room at Mimi's and really liked it.

They may have been stalling so they wouldn't have to leave, but seriously, this is too cute. "Twirling, twirling, twirling."

Day 89

Now that the weather is nice and the days are long, Reese and dada take lots of bike rides! She doesn't love the helmet, but deals with it so she can go on a ride.

Day 90

Another day, another nice walk after work.

Day 91

Reese is very helpful these days and loves wiping herself. :-) I take that back, she actually hates getting her diaper changed, but when she's pretending and can do it herself, she loves it. She'll get the green mat, spread it out, lay down, and wipe. She actually has a wipe in her hand in this picture, it's just hard to tell.

Day 92

Waiting for dada to pay after dinner Thursday night. What I like most about this picture is her outfit. I wasn't too sure of the patterns dada paired that morning, but I didn't have time to change anything. She rocked it anyway.

Day 93

I recently cleaned out Reese's closet and put away clothes that no longer fit. While doing it, I found her "Mimi's lil Angel" onesie she got back in August. Surprisingly, it still fits! I snapped this picture and sent it to Mimi.

Everyone had Friday off, as it was Good Friday so we started the day with a family bike ride and park time. Later, Bec and I went to Stations of the Cross which was so perfect. Growing up we had a tradition of going shopping on Good Friday and then ending the day with Stations. It was nice to keep part of that tradition. It turned out to be beautiful with a choir singing wonderful reflection songs. Thank you for inviting me to go, sister!

Day 94

Saturday evening Husbandy and I hosted an egg painting party. I wasn't really sure how it would go, or if any of the kids (except Brooklyn) were old enough to enjoy it, but it went really well! Each little colored 4 eggs and we all got lots of practice counting to ten. We did miss Aunt Nancy and John, but they were taking pictures cause someone is turning 1 soon! I love starting these little holiday traditions.

A Year in Photos: Week 12

Day 81

While dada tried to fix the drain in our spa, Reese and I sunbathed. I'll spare Husbandy the picture I took of him, but it was pretty funny cause the water is still rather cold. He actually sent Reese and I to the store to buy a new drain cover because he refused to get out and then have to get back in. The sad news is, the store didn't sell what we needed and we ended up having to call a pool guy. What dedication though!

Day 82

Reese and I went to get the mail when I got home from work and I saw our neighbors outside down the street, so I decided to take Reese for a walk. I went inside to tell Husbandy Reese and I were going for a walk, but I couldn't find him so I started yelling "Babe!" I decided he must have ran to the store, so I told Reese we were going to leave, but instead she started to do this. Have I mentioned how much she mimics now?!

Day 83

I'll admit it, I forgot to take a picture on Wednesday, so I snapped this one before I went to bed. I love her and her sweet snuggles!

Day 84

We've been working on saying prayers with Reese. Her sign of the cross is my favorite.  In her defense, this was our second time to say the prayer, so I think she was a little confused why we were doing it again.

Day 85

This picture screams Reese. The shoes, the smile, the hair. I can't get over it.

Day 86

Lately Reese stays up talking  for at least 15 minutes after I put her down. Right before I started filming she was singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. "Twinka twinka lil star. How wawa how wawa how wawa." I'm still trying to get her singing it on video. What I did actually get was her saying random words, then realizing hey, I just said eye.

Day 87

Saturday night we celebrated some of our favorite twins 29th birthday! We first went bowling and I surprised myself by actually winning!

Afterward we went to dinner then karaoke! Thanks to Jorja for singing Let Er Rip with me!

A Year in Photos: Week 11

Day 74

Four little cousins all in a tub! It's not the best picture, but it's the only one I got with all of them looking mostly in my direction. Precious memories.

Day 75

Reese was playing the guitar with dada. There were sound effects and everything!

Day 76

Our youngest GND member aka Reese's future sister in law. ;-)

Day 77

One of Reese's favorite books these days is Cat in the Hat. This time she was reading it to me.

Day 78

Thursday night we celebrated Husbandy's birthday with my dad at Texas de Brazil. You might be thinking we're crazy because we brought Reese, and you would be right. She's just not into 2 hours meals, but I can't really blame her. We didn't have any full on melt downs just lots of moving around. She did sit pretty still for dessert, however.

Licking the raspberry topping.

Reese fell asleep Thursday night holding on to her crib, which I thought was pretty funny.

Day 79

Reese was so proud of her dada quitting his job. Ok, that makes the situation sound bad, but Husbandy did put in his two weeks notice (and was told to just leave due to company policy). He does have another job lined up and we are very excited for it! He'll be doing the same thing, just under new management. Friday night we went to dinner to celebrate.

Day 80

Bec and I spent Saturday afternoon watching a "The Best of Me" with Kelly. I honestly don't remember the last time I watched a movie curled up on a couch without interruptions. It was perfect!

Afterward, Bec and I joined the rest of the family who was helping our brother move into their new house. Here are the three oldest cousins eating their pizza together. Lots of memories to be made in this house!

A Year in Photos: Week 10

Day 67

Sunday consisted of a lot of dancing. First there was dancing at breakfast (Kolache Factory, delicious!) then we got all four cousins dancing at dinner on Sunday...to no music. Check out my sister's blog for a really fun dance party to Shake It Off.

Day 68

Recently, when Reese gets home from daycare she's in a pretty cranky mood. Her teachers tell us shes' been so happy all day, so I don't know what it is about coming home. Maybe we're just not as fun. Monday was no different, but after dinner she was in the best mood! I love the sound of these laughs.

Day 69

Reese brushing her teeth while taking a bath. There's nothing like killing two birds with one stone!

Day 70

Reese is always good for laugh after bath time. She also will laugh on command now and it's pretty great.

Day 71

Reese and Annabelle had really been missing each other, so we decided to go over for dinner....on a Thursday! Crazy parents. It was definitely worth it, minus the part where we had to pick up my car on the way home and got stuck in 635 construction traffic. Thankfully Reese was happy the entire time!

Day 72

Friday night we finally went to eat dinner with my grandparents. We actually opened Christmas presents, that's how long it had been. :-/ I thought this picture was too cute.

Reese isn't really into sitting in a high chair for an extended period of time, so during dinner she decided to sit under it and play with the buckles. You be you, girl.

Day 73

You got it, we got to see Annabelle twice in one week! Reese, was excited.

Reese and Annabelle have discovered that if you work together, you can get both dads on the ground at one time. What will they think of next?!
