A Year in Photos: Week 25

Day 172

Happy Father's Day! Reese and I are so thankful to have Husbandy. One of my most favorite things to do is watch these two play, It brings a smile to my face every time. :-)

We went to have dinner at my brother's for Father's Day. I caught this sweet picture of my Granny reading with Reese and Zilla.

Day 173

If you can't tell what this picture is, it's one I took to document the time and what Reese was doing. Yes, it's 3:14am and Reese was screaming. She had been crying in her sleep since about 11:00 pm, but eventually woke herself up at 1:00. Husbandy and I tried everything to get her back to sleep and nothing worked. Husbandy eventually put a mattress in her room and laid with her. I think she's teething, but when I feel her gums, I don't feel anything, She hasn't slept well all week, so hopefully whatever is causing the lack of sleep goes away soon,

As soon as she found me in the morning, this happened. I decided to let her sleep and go into work late, so this is where we sat for about 4 hours. When it was time to get going, I noticed she felt hot, so I took her temperature and it was 102.1. Eek. Not sure where the spike came from, but we stayed home the rest of the day. Besides the high temperature, she seemed to be acting normal.

Doing a little cleaning to complete mommy and daddy's party trifecta (Reese's party, mommy's party, GND).

Day 174

Reese loves helping mommy and daddy around the house. I think this was the first time she was actually more helpful doing the dishes than not. :-)

Day 175

The main reason for this picture was to get her outfit and hair. I love seeing her hair when she gets home from school. Thank goodness for teachers that like doing her hair or else it might not ever get brushed. She will not let me do it, but the comes home with the cutest hair (or strangest...see day 176).
Reese also does not like us changing her diaper. When I tell her it's time she takes the diaper and says "Minnie diaper change" and goes to change Minnie. Sometimes I wonder if she thinks the diaper is called "diaper change."

We also took a walk that night and saw a baby bunny. While the adults could tell it had been injured and was most likely not going to make it, the kiddos loved looking at it and getting really close. Poor bunny. :-(

Day 176

Reese again didn't sleep very well and ended up in our bed around 4:00am. Thankfully she actually went back to sleep and slept until about 7:00.

That night we went to have dinner with (great) Granny and Grandpa. Reese's hair looks cute you say? Let's take a closer look.

She has one pigtail on the side of her head (like a normal pigtail)  and the other in the back (like a ponytail). What made it funnier was the one in the back was curly and the one on the side was made with the part of her hair that is straight. It was just funny looking.

Day 177

Before going to school Reese saw dust particles floating in the light coming through the window and said "bubbles!" She then started jumping up at them and saying "pop!"

A few days ago I helped Reese draw multiple circles in a row and it must have stuck cause she continues to draw them. I love how she'll draw one and say "Circle, otay." She says okay after a lot of things she says "all done, otay", "book, otay", "shoes on, otay." It's pretty cute.

Day 178

After nap time we wanted to get out of the house, so we walked down to the park! Reese had lots of fun playing. Afterward we decided it was the perfect day for Froyo, so we went to my favorite place. Later that our neighbors came over and the dads swam with the kids while the moms made a delicious dinner. So thankful for such wonderful neighbors. :-)

A Year in Photos: Week 24

Day 165

On Sunday we celebrated my grandparent's 60th anniversary. We all went to Mass at St Thomas together, then had a reception with extended family and friends afterward. 60 years is a long time, I'm so glad I have this example of love and marriage in my life.

Taking pictures with littles is fun.

The family.

This girl spent the entire party running in circles with her cousins. She was OUT within 3 minutes of our drive home.

Day 166

I'm so proud of Reese and how smart she is.

Day 167

Tuesday night Becca and Zilla came over for some playtime and dinner. I love this picture of the four of them reading.

Day 168

I finally got twinkle twinkle on video! I could watch this a million times (and I'm quickly making headway).

Day 169

Putting on her shoes while watching Mickey Mouse before leaving for school.

Day 170

Friday we went shopping for decor for my birthday party on Saturday. Party City had a ton of flags for the 4th of July and Reese was in heaven. Also, look at her "mingo" shirt...it's so cute!

Day 171

Reese is now in a swim class that doesn't require parents to get in the pool with their kids. You can see Zilla taking his turn in the background. While he did that, she built a tower.

For my 30th Husbandy and I threw a murder mystery dinner party, It was Luau themed and so much fun. I know Bec took a lot of pictures, so I hope to get them soon!

Thank you thank you to everyone who came, for getting into character, and helping me celebrate. Also, thank you Aunt C for watching Reese and Zilla! We didn't have to worry about the kiddos knowing they were having fun!

A Year in Photos: Week 23

Day 158

Happy birthday, Uncle J-Fry! Thanks for choosing to spend your evening reading to a few of your favorite nieces. :-)

Mini B later took over the teacher role. Zilla and Reesearoo played right along.

Day 159

Husbandy and I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to watch Aggie baseball. We had quite a run this year, but lost at about 1 am.

Day 160

I can't help that I love taking pictures of this girl sleeping. Look how sweet!

Day 161

This is what I saw when I turned the corner to my cube on my birthday. Say whaaat!? I had no idea this was in the works, so I was very surprised.

Just a normal workday. I'm pretty sure there were around 300 balloons in my cube. We stored them in a place in between my cube and the windows behind me until we could take time to deflate them, but they ended up getting too hot and we would randomly hear popping throughout the day. Once that started to happen we decided it was time to say bye to the balloons.

By the end of the day my cube smelled of balloons, flowers, and cookies! My 30th was such a wonderful day so I have to thank Husbandy, Reese, my coworkers, and all my friends and family who called/texted/facebooked me!

Day 162

Happy 2nd birthday to our sweet Reesearoo!! We snuck into her room and filled her bed with balloons before waking her up. She looooved it. It was a little hard to convince her to get out and ready for school. It was also hard that evening when she wanted the balloons in her bed to go to sleep.

I love this girl so much. I know I've said it before, but she's my little angel and I cannot imagine life without her.

Keeping the tradition of going to Sweet Firefly for her birthday.

That night we also found out that Reese will be getting another boy cousin! Can't wait to meet my newest nephew. :-)

Earlier that day I hid all the balloons in my room so Reese wouldn't be distracted at bed time. My plan did not work, however...

Day 163

Reese reading to us as we were on our way to Babes. Mimi and Papa flewin from FL to celebrate Reese's birthday and Babes is one of their favorite places to eat.

Day 164

Saturday we celebrated Reese with a Minnie Mouse party. I'm hoping to write a two year post and give more details, but it was such a fun day and we are so greatful for all our friends and family who came to celebrate with us! For now, here's a few pictures from the day.

So glad we got pictures of kiddos wearing these ears. I thought cheap Mickey ears would be easy to find, but I was wrong so I stay up (with the help of Mimi Wagner and Husbandy) making these for all the kids, I think they turned out pretty cute!

These four. :-D

So happy that Annabelle and Clara were able to come to the party. These three make me smile. :-)

A Year in Photos: Week 22

Day 151

After nap time we met the Poulsen's at the Frisco Roughriders game. This was the first sporting event Reese had ever been to and she LOVED it. She loved watching the mascots, watching the players run, the food, everything. We'll definitely be going back.

Day 152

Coco enjoying the ice cream at GND. Delicious!

Day 153

This is what our mornings look like. Reese is always trying to squeeze in a book any time she can.

Seriously? Another picture? I really just wanted a picture of her outfit cause it was so cute!

Day 154

I'm pretty spoiled because Husbandy does most of the cooking in our house. Wednesday he didn't feel like it, so I stepped in. This is the first meal without any planning I've cooked in a long time!

Day 155

Reese was supposed to go over to my dad's Thursday night, but he didn't feel well so she stayed home. Since Husbandy and I were planning on running errands, we went out to dinner. Reese liked looking at the lobsters while we waited, but when she got the opportunity to touch one, she refused (I don't blame her).

Day 156

Reese has been invited to a birthday party for one of the boys in her class! It's not just any boy, it's the boy she talks about all the time. I was dropping her off one morning and Jaxton came in at the same time. I made a comment that Reese talks about him a lot and his mom informed me he talks about her a lot. Hmm, very interesting.

Day 157

These little fishies graduated from their first swim class! They looked so cute in their new shirts, so a photo was inevitable. I'm so proud of how far they've come!

Saturday night we had fun with friends at baby Darling's camp themed shower! All the decor was so cute, I should have taken more pictures. We're so excited to meet Baby D in a little over a month!

Don't be fooled, Charlee is almost a year younger than Reese, but weighs the same. I love my tiny little girl.

A Year in Photos: Week 21

Day 144

I walked into Reese's room the other day to discover this. Apparently she was laying diapers out getting ready for me to change her. Such a sweet girl, thinking ahead for mommy.

Later that night we played with cousin Aidan. :)

Day 145

Since it rained the entire month of May I'm very thankful for a little one that does not mind thunder. Not once did she wake up in the middle of the night because of it and there were some pretty loud storms! This picture is supposed to show the monsoon we were having one day, but it's hard to see the rain.

Day 146

It's a little ironic having this post right after saying Reese wasn't woken up by thunder, but on this particular morning she woke up around 4:00, wanted her diaper changed (it wasn't wet, but then she peed right after I changed it, said it was poo poo, so I changed it again), then asked for her Reveille book to be put in her bed. Crazy girl. After she fell asleep I wondered if I should just start getting ready for the day, but of course opted to lay back down...that always sounds good but makes it a rough morning.

Day 147

Just hanging out at home. Reese heard the phone when I took a picture of her doing something and then she turned around and did this. Thanks for the smile!

Day 148

Believe it or not, Husbandy and I had never been to IKEA until my dad and Cindy took us to get a birthday present for Reese. It's definitely unlike any store I've been in...Reese was also in shock.

Day 149

Reese has officially discovered rolly pollies. She didn't end up catching this one, but after a little practice and seeing Aidan hold one, she caught a couple! She immediately put them on Aidan, but they were always in a ball so they just rolled right off. I'm impressed she picked some up though!

Day 150

This is the aftermath of a delicious dinner! Thanks for cooking, Kelly!

We hadn't played with Annabelle in a very long time, so these two had so much fun together! Can't wait until Clara is running around with them.
